Should I ever rotate my Helix Mattress?
Because our mattress is built to last, you do not need to rotate the mattress. However, you are welcome to if you’d like! For those with a Dual Comfort mattress, just keep in mind that rotating the mattress will swap the side of the bed that you and your partner sleep on.

Each of our beds contains a fire retardant barrier to comply with regulations. This material, otherwise known as an FR sock, is a fabric that encases our materials. The FR sock contains silica, which smothers and subdues a potential fire from spreading.

We believe that each mattress should be made to give the best night’s sleep to both people. For couples with very different needs, we suggest a Dual Comfort Helix Mattress, in which we take each of your results to our Sleep Quiz and individually personalize each side, splitting the mattress down the middle. So each side of your mattress will have a distinct feel. Please note due to the complexity of manufacturing, our Dual Comfort mattress will add $195 to your order total.
Does the Helix Mattress require a foundation?
Although a foundation isn’t required, a support system for your mattress is highly recommended. The best option is to use the Helix Foundation to provide the proper support and avoid sagging. If you prefer to use a different support system, we recommend using a bunkie board with a box spring or any support system with firm, flat and thick slats. No matter which support system you choose, the slats should be no wider than 5 inches apart as that could cause sagging and could potentially void your warranty.

Is there an adjustment, or break-in, period?
You will likely experience an adjustment or break-in period with our mattress. Sleeping on a mattress that has been suited for your sleeping needs and preferences is a new experience and your body will need time to align to a new sleep system. Just like a new pair of shoes, the materials in the mattress need to be physically broken in, so it might feel more stiff than you’d expect in the first few weeks. We require that you give your new Helix Mattress at least 30 days to experience the full effect.
