Hypoallergenic for sensitive sleepers and those allergic to down.

Crafted in breathable, naturally moisture-wicking 100% cotton percale.

Corner loops for easy attachment to your duvet cover.

How Does It Feel?

All season comfort:

  • Keeps you warm without overheating

  • Bouncy, plush comfort

  • Fluffy & evenly-distributed fill

Best for:

  • People who sleep hot and cool alike

  • Every month of the year

  • Indoor temperatures between 59-72F

We chose 250 GSM to hit the sweet spot for year-round comfort without overheating. A duvet insert’s filling is measured in grams per square meter (GSM): a higher GSM is heavier and warmer, while a lower GSM is better for warm climates. If you run hot at night, this is your best option.

A Fill That Stays Fluffy and Cool

How does our insert stay so fluffy and light? Our sleep scientists designed spiraled, high-quality 3D thermal fiber for a bouncy, cushiony texture and durable resilience that never bunches up or flattens out.

Breathable & cool thanks to plenty of natural airflow.

Stays light & springy, unlike flat fibers that can feel packed down over time.

Mimics the softness of down without the irritation for the allergy prone.

What is a duvet insert?

A duvet insert is the fluffy, quilted blanket that keeps you warm. A duvet cover (like our Helix Cotton Blend Duvet Cover Set) goes over the insert to protect it and make it easy to wash. Together, they create a complete, customizable sleep system. You can swap out covers to match your style or season without replacing the whole duvet.

What is the difference between a duvet and a comforter?

Comforters and duvets are pretty similar: they are both cozy, quilted, filled blankets that keep your bed warm. The main difference between a duvet and a comforter is whether or not you’re supposed to use them with a cover. Comforters are typically designed to be used alone and might have designed or colored fabric to indicate that, while duvets have two separate pieces: the cover, and the insert. That said, some people may decide to put a duvet over their comforter for added protection and warmth.

What is 3D thermal bonded fiber?

As an alternative to goose down, which can be fluffy but cause allergy issues, we opted for premium 3D thermal bonded fiber for our Down Alternative Duvet Insert. 3D thermal bonded fiber has a similar cushiony, smooth texture to high-quality polyester fill, but it resists clumping and bunching which can be an issue with polyester. It has a crimped or spiraled 3D structure, which gives it a light and bouncy loft without feeling too heavy or packed down over time. The texture also has a hollow design so air can flow freely, helping it naturally regulate temperatures without a clammy feeling.

Are down alternative duvet inserts hot?

Our down alternative duvet insert is designed to be warm without making you overheat. 3D thermal bonded fiber has a crimped, curly texture with hollow channels to allow air to flow freely and naturally regulate your temperature. The 280 thread-count 100% cotton percale shell is also breathable and soft for all-season comfort.

What is GSM?

GSM stands for grams per square meter, which is how we measure the weight of an insert’s fill, aka how thick and warm it is. As a general rule of thumb, the higher the GSM, the warmer a duvet insert will be. Below 250 GSM is lighter weight, and great for warmer temperatures. Higher than 400 GSM is quite dense and heavy, and recommended for very cold weather. Our Premium Down Alternative Duvet Insert has 250 GSM, so it’s right at the sweet spot for a cool, cozy night of sleep.
