Although a foundation isn’t required, a support system for your mattress is highly recommended. The best option is to use the Helix Foundation to provide proper support and avoid sagging. If you prefer to use a different support system, we recommend using a bunkie board with a box spring or any support system with firm, flat and thick slats. No matter which support system you choose, the slats should be no wider than 5.5 inches apart as that could cause sagging and could potentially void your warranty.

Yes the Sunset, like all Helix mattresses, is GREENGUARD Gold and Certipur-US certified. It is assembled in our Arizona factory to ensure the highest quality.

It’s generally advised to invest in a new mattress every 8-10 years but a lot of the decision comes down to whether you are getting enough support and pressure-relieving from your current mattress. Even with a plush mattress like the Helix Sunset, it’s important to ensure you are getting enough support while you sleep.

Unboxing Your Helix

Unpack

Open the lid and place the box on its side. Pull to unpack.

Unroll

Once out of the box, pull on the plastic tab to unroll your mattress from the rest of the packaging.

Unwrap

Place on your sleeping surface and using scissors, cut carefully to unwrap the final layer of plastic.

Unwind

It will need approximately 2 hours to unwind and fully expand. And then, it’ll be your turn.
